A water main break opened up a good sized sinkhole somewhere in town this week, and crews have been out working to get it patched and the road stable again. These things tend to show up fast, a section of pavement gives way once the ground underneath washes out, and then it is a matter of shutting off the line, draining the area, and rebuilding what is under the street before anyone can drive over it again.
