Kings Park High School Takes the Field at Newsday's 2026 Marching Band Festival

Kings Park High School's marching band took part in this year's Newsday Marching Band Festival, the annual showcase that brings together bands from across Long Island. Photos from the performance, taken by Johnny Milano, show the band out on the field in full uniform, part of a fall tradition that draws families and students from one district after another each season.

It is the kind of local moment that does not make huge waves outside the community but means a lot inside it. Band season runs alongside football season here, and festivals like this one give students a chance to perform for judges and crowds beyond their home turf. You can read more from Newsday, who covered the festival this week.

Fall is a season full of these small public gatherings in Kings Park, from football games to band festivals to the first cool weekend afternoons.
